Ginius Returns With Deeply Personal New Project HERE'S WHERE WE ONCE WERE
Ginius

British-Ghanaian music producer and singer-songwriter Ginius has released her highly anticipated new project titled Here's Where We Once Were, the most personal body of work of her career to date.

The tape blends Afro R&B, Amapiano, and Ginius' signature "afro blend" sound; a vibrant weave of Ghanaian Highlife, modern Afropop, and Contemporary R&B, featuring productions from  Insvne Auggie across Love Me Softly, Woman, Different (Remix), and So You Do; Joker on Test Drive; Okukuseku the Bang Machine on Lost & Numb; and KFM Dadaba on Time & Attention, a track that began as a pure freestyle with mix and master by Van Boied.

Speaking about the project, Ginius said;

"This is probably the realest tape I ever wrote. Some of the songs I have written prior to this I had not lived but this is a tape that every part has once been my reality. It's the beginning of the end; simply put."

Across the project, Ginius praises and grieves the different stages of a relationship from infatuation to disbelief to the quiet question of how it all ended. It is a tape that does not shy away from the full arc of love, because as ginius puts it, love is bound to end, whether through a breakup or unfortunately death. What matters is how you choose to remember it.

Ginius has carved out her own lane by staying deeply connected to her cultural roots. More than a singer or beatmaker, she is a producer's producer; crafting soundscapes that soundtrack the lives of her loyal fan base, the Copilots.

Here's Where We Once Were is out now on all major streaming platforms.
