Fameye Talks About Darkest Periods In Life

Ghanaian Highlife artiste Fameye has opened up about the darkest period of his music career, sharing emotional moments that almost tore him apart. 

The artiste was speaking to media personality Kobby Kyei on the BoysLivesMatter series which highlights the emotional turmoil of the boys and men in a society that expects the gender to appear strong at all time. 

According to Fameye, his darkest period in the music industry was a moment when he had an issue with another industry player. He narrated that the issue escalated to the point where he hoped a family member came out publicly to defend him.

"My darkest time was when I had a problem with someone in the industry. Curses were invoked and I wished either my mother or father came out to clear my name. We see parents fighting for their children online all the time and although some people think it is not fine, I would like that. I always hustle behind the scenes and I cry," he recounted. 

The Gen Z singer also recalled the days he had his first child as another dark period in his life. 

He claimed that no parent came around his child and to perform any traditional rites.

"I remember when I had my daughter, I asked myself where is my mother or father to smear shea butter on my child? I had to do it all with my partner," he said. 

Fameye further expressed disappointment at the absence of his parents in his career and life.
