I'm A Director By Learning On Field - Nana Ama McBrown

Actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has recounted her journey as a movie producer and director dating as far back as 2007. 

She spoke about this during an appearance on 3Music TV's Culture Daily show while promoting her upcoming movie Ama. 

In the conversation, the veteran actress said that although she has been successful at producing and directing movies, she did not learn the skill anywhere. 

"I'm a director by learning on the field and from my experience I can boast of my works," she stated.

When asked about the number of her productions, the famous actress recalled seven movies to her credit. 

"I think this is my seventh. I started in 2007, producing my own movies. My first movie is called Alicia, my second movie is called Love Comes Back," she recalled.

Her latest movie Ama highlights the limitations of young women in society and it will be premiered at the UPSA auditorium

on August 15, 2026.
