Ghanaian Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy made history on Saturday, August 15, 2026, by becoming the first Ghanaian artiste to headline a sold-out concert at the iconic OVO Arena Wembley.
The event marked the international debut of his annual BHIM Festival, transforming the 12,500-capacity venue into a vibrant celebration of Ghanaian music, culture, and heritage. The festival, long established in Accra, expanded overseas for the first time under Stonebwoy’s direction.
In a post shared the following day, Stonebwoy reflected on the milestone:
“Light Conquereth Over Darkness Every time. Destiny shall Forever be Fulfilled. History was Made! LONDON, GHANA, BHIM NATION. Thank You. I love y’all. I can’t wait to be back!” He tagged the festival and used the hashtag #THETORCHER.
The production drew inspiration from Ghanaian landmarks, including elements referencing Black Star Square and the country’s 1957 independence.
Performers included Ghanaian veterans such as Samini, Kwabena Kwabena, and Ofori Amponsah, alongside acts like DopeNation, Mr P, and others spanning African and Caribbean sounds.
