The Trailer For MATERIALISTS Has Been Released

The first trailer for Celine Song’s upcoming romantic drama, MATERIALISTS, has been released, featuring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 13th, 2025.  

In MATERIALISTS, Johnson portrays Lucy, a successful New York City matchmaker who finds herself entangled in a complex love triangle. After meeting Randy (Pascal) at an event and unexpectedly reconnecting with her ex, John (Evans), Lucy’s personal and professional lives collide, challenging her notions of love and compatibility.  

The trailer showcases the emotional depth and tension of the narrative, highlighting Lucy’s struggle between the allure of a new, seemingly perfect partner and the unresolved feelings for a past love. The film also features an original song by Japanese Breakfast, adding a unique musical element to the story.  

MATERIALISTS marks Song’s second feature film, following her critically acclaimed debut, Past Lives. The supporting cast includes Zoë Winters, Dasha Nekrasova, Marin Ireland, Louisa Jacobson, and Sawyer Spielberg.
