Ghanaian genre-defying singer Titi Owusu proudly represented her country at the prestigious Pan-African Cultural Festival in Algiers, Algeria—an event deeply rooted in Pan-African solidarity and cultural celebration.

Originally hosted in 1969, the Pan-African Cultural Festival in Algiers brought together over five thousand artists, intellectuals, and activists from across Africa and the diaspora, including luminaries like Nina Simone and a delegation from the Black Panther Party.
This festival has long symbolized a moment of anti-imperialist unity and artistic activism.
In 2009, Ghana participated by showcasing cultural values through exhibitions themed around “Rites of Passage”, emphasizing ancestral traditions and unity among African nations.

Titi Owusu is celebrated for transcending genre boundaries—effortlessly weaving R&B, Afro-pop, lovers’ rock, and highlife into her sound. She recently signed a global publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing, highlighting her growing international footprint.
