The hit Netflix series WEDNESDAY is officially gearing up for its highly anticipated third season, with filming set to begin in February. The news marks the return of one of the platform’s most successful supernatural comedy–horror shows, which has continued to captivate global audiences since its debut in 2022.

Starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, the series reimagines the iconic character in a modern, coming-of-age mystery set within the eerie grounds of Nevermore Academy. Season 2 ended with new threats looming, and fans have been eager to learn how Wednesday will navigate fresh dangers, complicated friendships and her evolving identity.

Production for Season 3 will reportedly kick off with an expanded creative vision. Showrunners have teased darker storylines, deeper character arcs and a more intense exploration of WEDNESDAY’s relationships, while still retaining the signature dry humor and gothic charm that made the show a cultural phenomenon.

Jenna Ortega is also expected to return in both her lead role and her expanded behind-the-scenes position as a producer, signaling a more collaborative and creatively mature chapter for the actress and the series.

With filming beginning in February, fans can expect more updates in the coming months, including cast additions, plot hints and a potential release window. If previous production timelines are anything to go by, Season 3 could arrive on Netflix sometime in late 2026.
