AratheJay Makes History With Black Sherif on FOREVER

AratheJay Makes History With Black Sherif on FOREVER
Black Sherif & AratheJay
Black Sherif is set to reconnect with Ghanaian talent on his upcoming Sun Sherif EP, with fast-rising singer AratheJay joining him on FOREVER, the third track on the six-song project.

The collaboration carries added significance in Black Sherif’s career. AratheJay becomes the first Ghanaian artiste to feature on a Black Sherif project since his 2022 debut album, The Villain I Never Was.

Black Sherif’s career took a major turn following the release of Second Sermon in 2021, followed by the Burna Boy-assisted remix. He went on to achieve international recognition with hits including Kwaku the Traveller and released his debut album in October 2022.

Since then, his projects have largely featured international collaborators and other African acts, making FOREVER a notable return to a Ghanaian collaboration on one of his own projects.

Interestingly, Black Sherif’s last documented collaboration with Ghanaian artistes dates back to 2020, before his major breakthrough. He featured Tulenkey and AMG Armani on the remix of his song Money, released on July 3, 2020.

Now, more than six years later, AratheJay steps into that space with FOREVER, marking a new chapter in Black Sherif’s relationship with Ghana’s emerging music scene.

The collaboration also brings together two distinctive voices from Ghana’s new generation, with AratheJay’s rising profile adding another layer of anticipation to the project.

Sun Sherif is scheduled for release on September 4, 2026, with FOREVER sitting at Track 3 of the six-track EP. The project also includes Expresso, Run Around,Jolie,Frontline and Love Again featuring Full Blown.

With FOREVER, Black Sherif appears to be making room for a Ghanaian voice once again and AratheJay could be the artist ushering in a new era of local collaborations for Blacko.
