Beverly Afaglo’s Daughter Hits The Streets To Promote Late Mother’s Shawarma Business

Violyn Baah, the young daughter of late Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo, was recently spotted in Kasoa actively marketing Traffic Shawarma, the street-food business her mother founded before her death.

Accompanied by her father, musician Eugene Kwadwo Boadu Baah (popularly known as Choirmaster of Praye), Violyn wore a branded Traffic Shawarma T-shirt as the pair walked the streets, distributing flyers and engaging passers-by and motorists.

The young girl has been described as the “young CEO” of the venture, stepping up to help keep her mother’s entrepreneurial vision alive.

Beverly Afaglo, a well-known actress and television personality, launched Traffic Shawarma in April 2024. She passed away on 24 May 2026 at the age of 42 after a battle with cancer.

In the months since, her family has worked to sustain and revive the brand, which operates several branches in Accra and surrounding areas.

As part of the effort, the family has introduced a “One Bite, One Cedi, One Cause” initiative under which GH¢1 from every shawarma sold is donated to the Breast Cancer Centre at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Videos circulating online show Violyn and her father interacting with the public during the street promotion, highlighting the family’s determination to honour Beverly’s legacy through the business she built.
