Arsenal Wins First Premier League Title In 22 Years

London-based Arsenal Football Club has secured their first Premier League title for the first time in 22 years.

This comes after Manchester City was held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday night.  

The result confirmed Arsenal as winners of the 2025/26 Premier League title with one game remaining, ending the club’s long wait for a league triumph since the famous Invincibles season of 2003/04 under Arsène Wenger. 

Managed by Mikel Arteta, Arsenal sealed the title after years of near misses, having finished runners-up in each of the previous three seasons.  

Arsenal moved closer to the title with a 1-0 win over Burnley on Monday before City’s draw at Bournemouth mathematically ended the race.

Bournemouth took the lead through Eli Junior Kroupi before Erling Haaland scored a late equaliser for City.  

Speaking before the decisive fixtures, Arteta said his side was determined to “finalise the business” after several painful title misses in recent seasons.
  

The title is Arsenal’s 14th English top-flight crown and Arteta’s first Premier League trophy as manager. It also marks the club’s first major silverware since winning the FA Cup in 2020. 
 

Celebrations erupted across North London after the final whistle in Bournemouth, with thousands of supporters gathering around the Emirates Stadium to celebrate the achievement.  

Arsenal is still chasing a historic double this season and will face Paris Saint-Germain F.C. in the UEFA Champions League final on May 30 in Budapest.
