Ghanaian songstress Gyakie has sparked reactions online after responding to fashion critic Charlie Dior over his review of her outfit at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards 2026 red carpet.

Charlie Dior known for his annual red carpet fashion reviews, shared his thoughts on Gyakie’s look from the awards night.

However, the review did not sit well with the Forever hitmaker, who appeared to subtly respond by posting screenshots from Asake’s song Gratitude.

The singer followed with sharing a series of old wardrobe malfunction moments involving the fashion critic, a move many netizens interpreted as a direct clap back at his comments.

According to Gyakie the inspiration behind her outfit was drawn from her After Midnight album reflecting the creative direction, mood and artistic vision connected to the project.

The singer explained that the concept behind the look may have been misunderstood by critics and online commentators.

Despite the criticism many fans and fashion enthusiasts praised Gyakie’s appearance, with several social media users ranking her among the best-dressed celebrities on the red carpet at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards 2026.
