Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tems, Asake Earn Nominations For 2026 BET Awards
Nigerian music stars Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tems and Asake have secured nominations for the 2026 BET Awards, continuing the strong presence of African artistes on the global music stage.
The nominations were announced ahead of the annual awards ceremony, which celebrates achievements in music, sports and entertainment across the world.
Wizkid received nominations in the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and Best International Act categories, while Burna Boy was nominated for Best Male Hip Hop Artist and Best International Act.
Tems also earned recognition in multiple categories, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and BET Her, continuing her impressive run on the international awards scene.
Asake was nominated in the Best International Act category.
Other African artistes nominated include South Africa’s Tyla and Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz.
The 2026 BET Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on June 29 and will be broadcast live on BET networks.
