Barcelona has announced the loan signing of 18-year-old Ghanaian winger Abdul Aziz Issah from Dreams FC. Issah will join the club’s B team, Barça Atlètic, for the upcoming season. The loan deal, which runs until June 30, 2025, includes an option to buy.

The club confirmed that Issah will soon travel to Barcelona to join Albert Sánchez’s squad. His signing is Barcelona’s second acquisition of a Ghanaian this transfer window, following the addition of left-back David Oduro from Accra Lions.

Issah’s move to Barça Atlètic provides him with a potential path to the first team, similar to the journeys of young talents like Ansu Fati, Gavi, Alejandro Balde, and Lamine Yamal. He earned recognition last season for his impressive performances in the CAF Confederation Cup, where he was named one of CAF’s top young players. Issah played a pivotal role in Dreams FC’s run to the semi-finals, scoring four goals and adding two assists in ten matches before their narrow loss to Zamalek.

In the Ghana Premier League, Issah was a standout performer, contributing to 17 goals throughout the season with seven goals and ten assists. His impact was also notable in the FA Cup, where he scored four times in five games. On the international stage, Issah has been a key player for Ghana’s U20 team, aiding them in securing gold at the Africa Games earlier this year.
