Beyoncé has once again made history. Her Cowboy Carter Tour grossed an unprecedented $55.7 million over five consecutive nights at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, setting a new record for the highest-grossing single-venue engagement by a female artiste in Billboard Boxscore history.
The performances, held from April 28th to May 2nd, attracted approximately 217,000 fans, underscoring Beyoncé’s immense drawing power. This achievement surpasses previous records and cements her status as a leading force in the music industry.
The Cowboy Carter Tour supports Beyoncé’s eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter, released in March 2024. The album blends country, Americana, and R&B genres and has been lauded for its innovative fusion of musical styles and cultural commentary. Critics have praised the tour for its theatricality and powerful messaging, with Architectural Digest describing it as a “kaleidoscopic rodeo of Black Americana”.
Following the record-breaking Los Angeles shows, the tour is set to continue with performances in major cities, including Chicago, where Beyoncé will perform three concerts at Soldier Field on May 15th, 17th, and 18th.
This milestone adds to Beyoncé’s impressive list of accomplishments, following her 2023 Renaissance World Tour, which became the highest-grossing tour by a female artist and a Black artist in history.
As the Cowboy Carter Tour progresses, fans and industry observers alike will be watching to see what new records Beyoncé might set next.
