Black Sherif Makes Spotify’s Global Impact List in Nigeria
Black Sherif
Ghanaian music star Black Sherif continues to break boundaries, landing at number 18 on Spotify’s Global Impact List in Nigeria for the first half of 2025. His track, So It Goes featuring Nigerian singer Fireboy DML is the only Ghanaian song to appear on the prestigious list, further proving the cross-border appeal of his sound.

The Global Impact List, which ranks the top 30 Nigerian songs with the biggest international reach between January and June 2025, highlights the increasing globalization of African music. Black Sherif’s inclusion is especially significant, showcasing not only his ability to captivate audiences outside Ghana but also the power of collaboration between artistes across the continent.

So It Goes is one of the standout tracks from his latest album Iron Boy, a project celebrated for its fusion of hip-hop, Afrobeats, and highlife influences. The song blends Black Sherif’s intense storytelling and gritty delivery with Fireboy’s smooth, melodic vocals—resulting in a powerful, emotionally rich collaboration that has resonated with fans around the world.

This milestone comes at a time when Ghanaian artistes are pushing harder than ever into the global spotlight, and Black Sherif continues to lead that charge. His consistent stream of impactful music, raw lyricism, and cross-cultural collaborations have made him one of the most important voices in contemporary African music today.

With So It Goes earning a spot among Nigeria’s most globally impactful songs, Black Sherif once again proves that his art knows no borders.
