Ace music executive and producer Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, has disclosed how his self-esteem was affected by being turned down by female classmates during his secondary school days.
He also discussed how he overcame the psychological damage.
Don Jazzy made the revelation in an episode of the Keeping It Real With Jima podcast that he was not attractive in high school and that he was frequently turned down by ladies he approached for a relationship.
He claimed that even as an adult, it had a psychological impact on him.
He clarified that in an effort to get over the psychological trauma, he returned to search for the girls once he achieved success.
According to the Mavin boss, majority of them were already married when he reconnected with them.
“I wasn’t good-looking during my secondary school days. Thank God for music because back then I was constantly being rejected by girls. But after I became successful, I went back to look for all the girls who rejected me. But almost all of them were already married,” he admitted.
He said meeting his former mates and seeing how successful he had become, helped him move past the trauma.

As part of the album's successful rollout, the artiste is set to visit Lungni and Kpandai, where he will make donations to a local clinic and a secondary school, giving back to communities that have played an important role in his journey.
