Fast-rising Ghanaian songstress, Essilfie, is set to release a new single titled Fake Love which features Rie Osei on the 28th of April 2023.
“Not every love is genuine…”, began the presser by the songstress to announce her incoming single. Of course, Love in itself is a genuine emotion and that’s what gives it its name but in a world where bifocal perspectives are a necessity, there exists those whose profession of this emotion is limited to its initial proclamation and that is what the songstress seeks to address.
Fake Love is genre-blending and intense, borrowing elements of Hip hop and R&B to produce the perfect instrumental to allow Essilfie and her guest artiste Rie Osei to vent.
According to Essilfie, “people claim to love the music and talent yet do nothing to amplify it. They applaud and take advantage when you make it but they do not help in the struggle. Not every love is genuine though.” These are some of the frustrations that both artistes within their personal relationships and their craft endure.
The
lyrics of the song center around the idea of people’s inaction towards the love
they profess and their inability to show or prove it thereafter.
Produced
by Iyke Parker and mixed and mastered by Fortune Dane, the song is one to look
out for and set to be Essilfie’s first release of the year.
