Euphoria Season 3 Begins Filming: Zendaya Returns, New Faces Join, and a Bold New Direction Unfolds

After a prolonged hiatus, HBO’s Euphoria has officially commenced production on its highly anticipated third season as of February 2025. The series, created by Sam Levinson, resumes with much of its principal cast, including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Hunter Schafer, returning to their roles. Notably, Barbie Ferreira, who portrayed Kat Hernandez, departed the series in 2022, and the late Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, passed away in 2023, leaving the show’s handling of his character’s storyline to be seen.  

Season 3 is set to diverge from its high school setting, incorporating a significant time jump that explores the characters’ lives in a new phase. Levinson has described this season as a “film noir” that delves into themes of individuality and moral complexity in a corrupt world.   

Adding to the excitement, Spanish singer Rosalía has been spotted on set, indicating her involvement in the upcoming season. Images show her alongside Alexa Demie, suggesting a storyline connection with Demie’s character, Maddy Pérez.  

While HBO has not announced an official release date, the series is expected to premiere in 2026. Fans can catch up on the first two seasons, currently available for streaming on Max.
