Ghanaian-English Afrobeat pioneer Fuse ODG has ignited global excitement with the artwork reveal for his upcoming album, SPIRIT OF NEW AFRICA, set for release on June 20, 2025, via Off Da Ground Records. Shared on Instagram on May 30, 2025, the vibrant cover, depicting African royalty, complements the album’s lead single, SUNDIATA, featuring spoken-word artiste Suli Breaks and produced by ITZCJ MADEIT.

Released on Africa Day, May 25, SUNDIATA has sparked a cultural movement, with its music video amassing thousands of views. The artwork’s intentional design celebrates African identity, resonating deeply with fans and setting the stage for a project that promises to honor the continent’s heritage and inspire the diaspora.

SPIRIT OF NEW AFRICA marks the final chapter of Fuse ODG’s trilogy, following 2014’s T.I.N.A. and 2019’s NEW AFRICA NATION, blending Afrobeat, hip-hop, and dancehall to empower listeners worldwide. The album builds on Fuse’s legacy of hits like ANTENNA and AZONTO, which propelled Ghanaian music globally.

While the tracklist remains undisclosed, anticipation is high for collaborations that amplify the album’s message of unity and pride. Fuse’s headline show at Southbank London on July 26, 2025, will bring the album’s vibrant energy to life, promising an unforgettable celebration of African culture.

Fans have lauded the album’s bold aesthetic and purpose, though some express curiosity about potential guest artistes, hoping for names like Wyclef Jean, who featured on NEW AFRICA NATION. Fuse’s commitment to cultural storytelling, evident in SUNDIATA’s lyrical depth, positions SPIRIT OF NEW AFRICA as a landmark release.

Following his 2020 MOBO Award for Best African Act, Fuse continues to cement his influence in Afrobeat’s global rise. The album’s focus on empowerment and heritage is expected to resonate with audiences navigating their own cultural identities.
