Peacock is set to shine a spotlight on the life, career and cultural impact of Wendy Williams and her groundbreaking daytime talk show in a new three-part documentary series.

Tentatively titled Clap If You Care: The Wendy Williams Show, the docuseries has been greenlit by Peacock and is scheduled to premiere in 2027. The project will revisit the legacy of The Wendy Williams Show, which became a defining fixture of daytime television and helped establish Williams as one of pop culture’s most recognizable personalities.

Known for her bold opinions, celebrity interviews, viral moments and signature “Hot Topics” segments, Williams built a loyal audience with a style that was unapologetically direct and often unpredictable. Her influence extended beyond daytime television, making the show a significant part of the broader pop culture conversation.

Adding a personal perspective to the documentary will be Suzzanne Bass, who served as an executive producer on The Wendy Williams Show. Bass was also frequently seen on camera reacting to Williams’ often-controversial takes and memorable moments.

As an executive producer on the new docuseries, Bass is expected to bring a firsthand perspective on the making of the show and its place in television and popular culture.

The three-part project will offer an opportunity to revisit some of the show’s most memorable moments while examining the personality and cultural phenomenon behind it.

For fans who followed Williams throughout her career, Clap If You Care: The Wendy Williams Show promises to be both a celebration of her television legacy and a look back at a programme that left a lasting mark on daytime entertainment. The docuseries is currently slated to arrive on Peacock in 2027.
