Meghan Markle In Early Talks For Major Acting Return In Netflix Series

The Duchess of Sussex is in early-stage discussions for a role that would mark her first significant acting part since leaving Suits and marrying Prince Harry in 2018.

According to multiple reports, Meghan Markle is being considered for a part in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix crime drama The Gentlemen. The role is currently being written for a potential third season of the series, which films in the United Kingdom.

Season two is scheduled to premiere on September 3, though Netflix has not yet officially renewed the show.

Details about the character and the exact nature of the role remain undisclosed. Sources describe the talks as preliminary, with no deal finalized.

The news coincides with reports that Markle and Prince Harry plan to relocate with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK for an extended period beginning later this month. The children are expected to start school in Britain in September.

Markle previously starred as Rachel Zane on Suits from 2011 to 2017. She stepped away from acting around the time of her engagement. In 2025 she made a small cameo appearance as herself in the Amazon MGM film Close Personal Friends.
