The winner of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League will take home GH¢3 million in prize money, Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has announced.

The figure marks a GH¢1 million increase from the GH¢2 million awarded to the champions in the previous season. In addition to the cash prize, the title winners will receive a JAC vehicle valued at $33,000.

Okraku made the announcement during the GFA’s 32nd Ordinary Congress at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

“For the upcoming season, each Ghana Premier League club will receive GHC1m again, and the winner of the Ghana Premier League will take home GHC3m,” he said.

All 18 clubs in the top flight will each receive GH¢1 million as financial support ahead of the new campaign. A total of GH¢9.5 million will also be distributed as prize money across the league, with further allocations for the runner-up and other top finishers.

The increased rewards form part of efforts to strengthen the financial position of domestic clubs and raise the competitiveness of the Ghana Premier League.

The 2026/27 season is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
