Fuse ODG Unveils SUNDIATA Featuring Suli Breaks Ahead of Upcoming Album Spirit of New Africa
Fuse ODG
Ghanaian-British Afrobeat artist Fuse ODG has released a compelling new single, SUNDIATA, featuring renowned spoken-word poet Suli Breaks. The track, accompanied by a visually striking music video, debuted on May 25th, 2025, aligning with Africa Day celebrations. This release sets the stage for Fuse ODG’s forthcoming album, Spirit of New Africa, scheduled for release on June 20th, 2025.

SUNDIATA serves as a powerful homage to African heritage, drawing inspiration from the legendary Sundiata Keita, founder of the Mali Empire. The collaboration blends Fuse ODG’s signature fusion of Afrobeat, dancehall, and hip-hop with Suli Breaks’ evocative spoken-word performance, creating a track that resonates with themes of resilience and cultural pride.

The accompanying music video, released on Africa Day, further amplifies the song’s message, celebrating African identity and unity. Fuse ODG’s choice to debut the video on this significant day underscores his commitment to honoring and promoting African culture through his artistry.

Spirit of New Africa marks the final installment of Fuse ODG’s trilogy, following his previous albums This Is New Africa (T.I.N.A) and New Africa Nation (N.A.N.A). The upcoming album is anticipated to continue his mission of redefining African narratives and empowering the diaspora through music.

In a statement about the album, Fuse ODG expressed, “I’ve been waiting for this moment and now it’s finally here. This album is one of the proudest creations of my life. I cannot wait for you to feel every rhythm, every word, every flow, every truth. It’s a reclamation. A voice long buried, now rising and echoing. It hands the pen to a people who’ve been deceived, robbed, muted, and misunderstood.”

Fans can watch the SUNDIATA  music video on Fuse ODG’s official YouTube channel and look forward to the release of Spirit of New Africa on June 20th, 2025.
