Rapper Gunna recently revealed his personal musings in a new song preview shared by a close associate, Brittany Reshun, on her Instagram story. The snippet showcased Gunna's signature melodious vocals, accompanied by opulent production. Although the lyrics were brief, they provided insight into Gunna's innermost thoughts. Reshun's post has since expired, leaving fans eager for more information about the unreleased track.
“Heard the rumors said I’m packing up and flying out/We ain’t going nowhere I’m staying here, gone fight it out/I meant like f*k it/Let’s just give these n**as dark clouds/Been gone for months And I just keep seeing these dark clouds,” Gunna raps.
Gunna, the Atlanta-based rapper, has been embroiled in controversy surrounding allegations of snitching since his release from prison. In December 2022, Gunna pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge and was sentenced to five years, with one year served in prison. He was initially detained in May 2022 as part of a YSL indictment against Young Thug and his label.
Boosie, another prominent rapper, recently expressed his disapproval of Gunna on VLAD TV. This comes after footage from Gunna's court hearing emerged, showing him speaking with the judge. The incident has fueled speculation that Gunna may have cooperated with law enforcement, leading to accusations of snitching. The controversy surrounding Gunna's case continues to draw attention and scrutiny from fans and the Hip hop community alike.
According to popular Hip hop commentator, Akademiks, there have been rumors circulating since February that Gunna, the Atlanta-based rapper, may be planning to leave Young Stoner Life (YSL) Records in search of a new record deal. The news has sparked curiosity and speculation among fans who are eager to see what the future holds for Gunna's career. However, Gunna himself has yet to make any official statements about his plans for the future, leaving the situation shrouded in uncertainty.
“The label side, a lot of people believe that Gunna is going to be seeking to leave YSL just because the relationship is fractured,” Akademiks explained. He further said that, “It’s just no way you go through this and come out on the other side where one guy is apparently looking at decades in jail and you came out in six months with a bad b***h. It’s probably not gonna work.”
Young Thug, the popular rapper and founder of Young Stoner Life (YSL) Records, is currently awaiting the selection of a jury for his Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) trial. The trial, which is set to begin next month, is expected to last for a minimum of six to nine months. RICO charges are typically used to prosecute individuals who are believed to have been involved in organized crime and can carry severe penalties if found guilty. The outcome of the trial will be closely watched by fans and the Hip hop community at large, as it could have significant implications for Thug's career and the future of YSL Records.
