Jaden Smith Expands I Love You Initiative into Full Restaurant Serving Free Meals to the Homeless

Actor, musician, and philanthropist Jaden Smith has officially expanded his groundbreaking food justice initiative, I Love You, into a full-service restaurant dedicated to serving free, nutritious meals to people facing homelessness.

What started in 2019 as a vegan food truck on Skid Row in Los Angeles has grown into a brick-and-mortar space with a powerful mission: to feed those in need, build community, and promote sustainable, plant-based living.

The restaurant, also called I Love You, offers clean, healthy meals to anyone who walks in, no questions asked. The concept is both simple and revolutionary: if you can afford to pay, you pay more than the listed price. That surplus directly funds meals for those who can’t afford it. It’s a self-sustaining model rooted in compassion, equity, and community empowerment.

“Our mission has always been about giving people what they need with love, dignity, and respect,” Jaden said in a recent statement. “We’re not just feeding people; we’re building a system that uplifts everyone, regardless of their financial situation.”

The restaurant serves plant-based meals and provides access to clean drinking water, staying true to Jaden’s longstanding environmental and humanitarian values. It’s the latest in a series of socially conscious efforts from the 25-year-old, who also co-founded JUST Water, a company focused on reducing plastic waste while providing affordable water options.

With I Love You, Jaden is redefining what it means to be an influencer—using his platform not for clout, but for community. The restaurant’s doors are open to all, but especially to those who need nourishment, kindness, and dignity the most.

In a time of rising food insecurity and growing homelessness in major cities, I Love You stands out not just as a restaurant, but as a movement, where food is free, and love is the currency.
