In a move for Ghana’s creative industry, award-winning actress and producer Juliet Ibrahim has been named the inaugural President of Women in Film & Television Ghana (WIFT Ghana). The appointment marks a significant step forward for gender empowerment within the country’s film, television, and digital media sectors.

WIFT Ghana is part of the global Women in Film & Television International network, which advocates for the advancement of women working in all areas of the screen industries. Juliet Ibrahim’s leadership is expected to bring increased visibility, opportunities, and structural support for women creatives across Ghana and beyond.

Industry stakeholders have praised the move as a much-needed boost for women in the entertainment space, particularly in areas where gender disparity remains a challenge.

With Juliet Ibrahim at the helm, WIFT Ghana is poised to champion the voices, talents, and rights of women in the creative sector, while aligning with the broader continental movement for equity and representation in media.
