UK hip-hop duo Krept & Konan have made their first-ever visit to Ghana and the trip is already shaping up to be a culturally significant moment for both their careers and the wider Afrobeats–UK rap connection.

Speaking on Culture Daily with the Culture Squad on 3Music TV, the duo expressed excitement about finally experiencing Ghana firsthand, describing the visit as long overdue. “This is our first time in Ghana,” they shared, noting the warmth of the reception and the deep cultural connection they feel with the country.

During the interview, Krept & Konan also confirmed ongoing and upcoming collaborations with some of Ghana’s biggest stars. The duo revealed they are definitely working on new music with King Promise and Black Sherif, hinting at a fusion that could blend UK hip-hop sensibilities with contemporary Ghanaian and African sounds.

Beyond Ghana, the duo also shed light on unreleased collaborations with Nigerian heavyweights. According to Konan, “we have recorded three songs with Wizkid and two songs with Burna Boy, none of which have been released yet.” The revelation has already sparked excitement among fans eager to hear what promises to be a powerful cross-continental body of work.

Reflecting on their journey, Krept & Konan spoke about the foundation of their partnership, emphasizing the longevity of their bond. “We have known each other since we were kids,” they shared, underlining the brotherhood that has fueled their consistency and success in the global music space.

Their appearance on Culture Daily reinforces the growing narrative of African and UK artistes building deeper creative bridges, with Ghana increasingly positioned as a key cultural hub for global collaborations.
