Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Abrokwa has completed a move from Adabraka Elders to Spanish club Sevilla FC, becoming the first player to join the La Liga side directly from a Ghana-based club.
The 18-year-old has signed a contract until 2029 after Sevilla reached an agreement for his transfer, according to the player’s representatives and reports from Spain.
Abrokwa joins Sevilla after impressing with Adabraka Elders, having previously played for Peace Boys FC. The winger has earned a reputation for his pace, dribbling ability and attacking play, attracting interest from a number of European clubs before Sevilla secured his signature.
The transfer was facilitated by Daniel Boifio Junior and Jorge Garcia of SBE Management, who represented the player during negotiations.
Abrokwa is expected to begin his career in Spain with Sevilla Juvenil A, the club’s Under-19 side, where he will continue his development before seeking to progress through the ranks.
The move is seen as a significant milestone for the young forward and for Ghanaian football, as it demonstrates an emerging pathway for talented home-based players to move directly from the domestic game to top European clubs.
Abrokwa’s transfer also marks another success story for Ghana’s youth football system, which has continued to produce players capable of attracting interest from clubs across Europe.
