The New Media Association of Ghana (NMAG) held its first-ever New Media Games on Sunday, 30th November 2025, at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon, an event that brought together the heart of Ghana’s digital and creative community.
Designed to foster unity, collaboration and healthy competition, the Games drew bloggers, influencers, content creators, digital journalists and other creatives for a full day of networking and fun.
Among 12 competing teams, it was Kwadwo Sheldon Studio that emerged victorious in the headline football competition, securing the top spot and earning bragging rights in the maiden edition of the Games. Their win was met with cheers from creators and supporters across the stadium.
The event was star-studded, with appearances from Ameyaw Debrah, John Dumelo (Deputy Minister of Food & Agriculture and MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon), Victoria Lebenee, legendary Sports broadcaster Kwabena Yeboah, Nana Ama McBrown, Comedian Jacinta, Hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone, Gospel stars Empress Gifty and Piesie Esther, and GJA President Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, among others.
Organisers noted that the New Media Games are part of NMAG’s vision to build stronger bonds within Ghana’s expanding new media ecosystem. With its successful debut, many are already looking forward to the next edition.
