Megan Thee Stallion triumphed at the 2025 American Music Awards, winning Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artiste on May 26, 2025, at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Facing fierce competition from Doechii, GloRilla, Latto, and Sexyy Red, the Houston rapper secured her second win in the category, following her 2021 victory. Her 2024 album MEGAN debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, with the single HISS hitting No. 1 on the Hot 100, bolstering her fan-voted AMA win. 

The 51st AMAs, hosted by Jennifer Lopez and broadcast on CBS, highlighted Megan’s stellar year, which included topping Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and a successful 2024 tour that likely swayed fan votes. 

Her nominations also included Favorite Hip-Hop Album for MGAN and Favorite Hip-Hop Song for MAMUSHI featuring Yuki Chiba, underscoring her versatility. Megan’s win follows her 12 nominations at the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards, where she led contenders like Kendrick Lamar, bolstering her as a hip-hop powerhouse.
