A model who accused Kanye West of choking her on a music video set has told the BBC that she felt "suffocated, unsure and scared."
The rapper, now known as Ye, is being sued by Jennifer An, a former America's Next Top Model contestant, over an alleged encounter in 2010.
While recording a scene for a music video in which he was making a cameo appearance, she claimed on the BBC's Fame Under Fire podcast that West choked her and put his fingers in her mouth to mimic oral sex.
The rapper's attorneys acknowledge that the incident occurred, but they are of the view that it was a part of an "intense and provocative theatrical performance" because West was attempting to mimic a scene from the movie American Psycho.
Recently, the rapper has come under scrutiny for antisemitic sentiments and pro-Hitler songs and merchandise.
When An was hired to star in the music video for La Roux's popular song In For The Kill, she was 24 years old.
The model said that she was unaware that the rapper would be on set at the time.
However, An claims that when she showed up for the shoot at the Chelsea Hotel, West showed up, took over the set, and then attacked her.
An's performance on America's Next Top Model in 2009 had boosted her reputation at the moment, and the following year she went to a casting call for the music video.
