The 11th edition of the Music Is My Life Concert, has firmly cemented its status as one of Ghana’s most influential live music experiences, evolving beyond a concert into a full-scale cultural movement.
Held once again at its spiritual home, Big Base Pub in Tema Community 2, the event attracted an estimated crowd of over 10,000 music lovers for an unforgettable night of sound, energy and celebration.
Before the show, Mubarak Nkrumah, widely known as K9 and CEO of Mimlife Records, had promised a “first-of-its-kind” experience. The night more than delivered.
Lasmid set the tone early, captivating the audience with a soulful performance of his hit single OLIVIA, sparking a massive sing-along across the venue. In a surprise appearance, Sister Deborah thrilled fans with an energetic rendition of her iconic anthem AFRICA MADONNA.
Among a lineup filled with heavyweights, Sista Afia delivered one of the night’s most commanding performances.
Representing the host label, Mimlife Records’ Kimilist and Mista Myles demonstrated why they remain key forces within the camp. Kimilist electrified the crowd with raw street energy and strong audience engagement, while Mista Myles impressed with a polished and confident performance that highlighted his artistic growth.
Kweku Smoke further solidified his reputation as one of the country’s most consistent hitmakers, delivering a powerful, hit-packed set that left fans in awe. The Asakaa movement was also well represented, as Jay Bahd, Reggie, Kwaku DMC and Skyface SDW brought the gritty energy of Kumerica drill straight to Tema.
One of the most memorable moments of the night came with the return of Sarkodie to the Music Is My Life mainstage. The rap icon exceeded expectations with a career-spanning performance, culminating in a viral Azonto dance moment that sent the massive crowd into a frenzy.
As dawn approached, global star King Promise made a surprise appearance. Despite the late hour, his high-energy performance of global hits reignited the audience and brought the marathon concert to a triumphant close.
Since its inception, Mimlife Records has grown into a respected powerhouse within Ghana’s music industry.
