Netflix Announces Release Date and Final Season Details
Squid Game
Netflix has officially confirmed that Squid Game Season 3 is on the way, with a scheduled premiere date of June 27th, 2025. The announcement marks the anticipated continuation and conclusion of the global phenomenon that has captivated audiences since its debut in 2021.

According to series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk, the third season will serve as the final chapter of the survival drama, bringing the story to a thrilling and definitive end. Fans can expect the return of lead actor Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun, who is set on taking revenge against the organization behind the deadly games. The mysterious Front Man, played by Lee Byung-hun, will also be back, further unraveling the power dynamics within the shadowy competition.

Netflix has hinted at the introduction of new characters and deadly games, as well as a new robotic doll named Chul-su, who is reportedly the “boyfriend” of Young-hee, the chilling doll from the infamous Red Light, Green Light game in Season 1.

While plot details remain tightly under wraps, Hwang Dong-hyuk has assured fans that the upcoming season will deliver an intense and satisfying conclusion. “We will finally see how Gi-hun’s journey ends and who, if anyone, will emerge victorious,” the creator teased in a recent interview.

With Squid Game being one of Netflix’s most-watched series of all time, anticipation for the final season is at an all-time high. More details, including a full trailer, are expected to drop in the coming months.

For now, fans can mark their calendars for June 27th, 2025, when Squid Game Season 3 officially hits Netflix.
