Netflix is set to release Sirens, a gripping five-episode limited series, on May 22nd, 2025. Created by Maid writer Molly Smith Metzler and produced by Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment, the series promises a darkly comedic exploration of power, class, and sisterhood, set against the backdrop of a luxurious beach estate.
Adapted from Metzler’s 2011 play Elemeno Pea, Sirens follows Devon DeWitt (played by The White Lotus star Meghann Fahy), who grows concerned over her younger sister Simone’s (Milly Alcock) unsettling entanglement with her boss — the elegant but manipulative Michaela Kell, portrayed by Oscar-winner Julianne Moore.
The story unfolds over one intense weekend on Martha’s Vineyard, where Devon tries to rescue her sister from what she sees as a toxic relationship. However, as the weekend progresses, Devon is pulled deeper into Michaela’s glamorous, cult-like world — one filled with charm, secrets, and psychological tension.
The limited series also boasts a star-studded cast including Kevin Bacon as Peter Kell, Michaela’s wealthy husband, along with Glenn Howerton, Bill Camp, Josh Segarra, Felix Solis, and Britne Oldford.
Sirens is directed by Nicole Kassell (Watchmen), who helms the first two episodes and also serves as executive producer alongside Metzler and Robbie. With its tightly woven suspense, sharp humor, and commentary on class divisions, the series is already being tipped as one of Netflix’s most anticipated releases this spring.
The official trailer for Sirens is now available on Netflix’s YouTube channel, teasing a whirlwind of twisted loyalty, manipulation, and sibling bonds.
