The Conjuring Last Season
The Conjuring Universe is set to reach its climactic conclusion with The Conjuring: Last Rites, premiering in theaters on September 5th, 2025. This ninth installment marks the final chapter featuring paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, portrayed by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. Directed by Michael Chaves, the film delves into the chilling real-life case of the Smurl family haunting in 1980s Pennsylvania.

Set in 1986, the narrative follows the Warrens as they come out of retirement to assist the Smurl family, who report terrifying supernatural occurrences in their home. The film also introduces their adult daughter, Judy Warren (Mia Tomlinson), who begins to experience inherited psychic abilities, and her boyfriend Tony Spera (Ben Hardy).

While Last Rites concludes the Warrens’ storyline, the creators have hinted at future expansions within the Conjuring Universe. Initially considering an ensemble finale featuring various entities from previous films, the team opted for a more intimate and emotionally resonant conclusion.

The Conjuring: Last Rites promises to deliver a haunting and heartfelt farewell to the beloved characters, blending real-life horror with a poignant exploration of legacy and family.
