Seventeen tracks. One vision. A spiritual journey wrapped in rhythm that’s THE ODYSSEY, the newest body of work from Ghana’s own Arathejay.
“THE ODYSSEY is a journey,” Arathejay says. “It’s what makes me who I am, the experiences, the pain, the faith, everything.”
Each record on the album tells a story, from the heavenly ZION to the street wisdom of ONLY FANS and the soul-deep reflection in COVER ME. The project captures years of personal battles, creative rebirth and divine intervention.
One of the standout tracks, ONLY FANS, was inspired by a real-life ordeal with a fraudulent promoter.
“The promoter booked my flight with a fraudulent card,” he revealed. “When I got there, they asked who booked the flight. I could have been arrested but I still went on stage.”
Then there’s COVER ME, a song born out of hardship and faith.
“I wrote COVER ME while sleeping on someone’s porch,” he shared. “I had nowhere to go but that night, I recorded JESUS CHRIST, PRAISE and COVER ME. Sometimes, blessings come from broken places.”
THE ODYSSEY also features collaborations with some of Ghana’s finest Black Sherif, Stonebwoy and Kweku Smoke, each adding their unique touch to Arathejay’s vision.
Arathejay’s artistry blurs the lines between music and ministry. THE ODYSSEY is not just an album it’s a testimony of faith, resilience and self-discovery. In a world chasing clout, Arathejay reminds us that purpose still matters.
