Abel Tesfaye, known professionally as The Weeknd, has released a new trailer for his forthcoming psychological thriller, Hurry Up Tomorrow. The film is scheduled to premiere in theaters on May 16th, 2025, and features a notable cast including Tesfaye himself, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan.

Directed by Trey Edward Shults, who co-wrote the screenplay with Tesfaye and Reza Fahim, Hurry Up Tomorrow explores the journey of a musician plagued by insomnia. He becomes entangled in an odyssey with a stranger who begins to unravel the very core of his existence.

The film serves as a companion piece to The Weeknd’s sixth studio album of the same name, released on January 31st, 2025. This album concludes a trilogy that began with After Hours in 2020 and continued with Dawn FM in 2022.

In the newly released trailer, viewers are offered a glimpse into the film’s intense and surreal narrative, highlighting the complex dynamics between the characters portrayed by Tesfaye, Ortega, and Keoghan. The visual style and thematic elements suggest a deep exploration of identity and reality.

Hurry Up Tomorrow is set for a worldwide theatrical release on May 16, 2025, distributed by Lionsgate.
