Jessani, the woman who found herself in the spotlight after a video of her dancing with Nigerian artiste Omah Lay went viral, has decided to address the controversy surrounding the incident. In a frank and open TikTok live session, she revealed the extent of the backlash she's faced, including insults and even death threats from upset social media users.
During the live session, Jessani publicly apologized to her boyfriend, admitting that she never anticipated the fallout from her spontaneous dance with Omah Lay on stage. She expressed regret and clarified that she and her boyfriend had previously discussed the possibility of her going on stage, as it was a common practice at Omah Lay's concerts, and he had given his consent.
Jessani clarified that she personally bought the concert ticket, debunking claims that her attendance was orchestrated by her boyfriend or anyone else. She also dispelled rumors linking her to someone named "Fafa," asserting sole responsibility for her actions.
Reflecting on the events, Jessani admitted to being caught up in the moment when Omah Lay called her onto the stage. However, she expressed deep remorse for any distress caused to her boyfriend or others involved, emphasizing that her intentions were not malicious.
Despite the backlash, Jessani maintained her sincerity, reiterating her apology to her boyfriend and anyone else affected by the incident.
