Ghanaian duo, Bhadmayors, pulled up to the Culture Daily Morning Show with one thing clear, their latest project PAIN MADE US isn’t just music, it’s lived experience.
After months off the radar, the pair returned with intensity, reflecting on a journey marked by setbacks, industry pressure and personal battles.
Released on April 3rd, Bhadmayors is an 8-track EP rooted in themes of betrayal, struggle and emotional survival.
According to the duo, the project is deeply personal. Blending Afrofusion, Hip-Hop and Dark R&B, the project leans into emotionally heavy storytelling while maintaining melodic appeal.
The conversation took a deeper turn when the duo opened up about the darker side of their journey, including industry disappointments and mental health struggles.
One member revealed a particularly difficult period that led to rehab in 2025.
“The industry is a dark place. You meet people, things don’t go as expected… sometimes you can’t even speak on it because of the positions people hold.”
Despite this, they say the adversity has only strengthened their resolve.
Songs like MY HEAD, ALL FALL APART and ANGELS highlight the emotional core of the EP. MY HEAD, was inspired by their time in rehab, capturing confusion, responsibility and mental strain.
ALL FALL APART dives into heartbreak and resilience.
ANGELS speaks directly to spiritual guidance and survival through pain.
The project closes with HOLY FATHER, a reflective outro rooted in faith and hope. A track already resonating strongly with listeners.
As twins, Bhadmayors say their creative process is almost instinctive.
“Sometimes I’m thinking something and he’s thinking the same thing at the same time, we don’t even plan it.”
This synergy allows them to merge individual experiences into one cohesive sound.
Despite their progress, the duo admits they are not yet where they envisioned themselves but they remain focused.
“The expectations haven’t met reality yet, but we’re building towards it. This is bigger than music, it’s a brand, it’s a company.”
At its core, PAIN MADE US is for anyone navigating hardship.
