Ghanaian gospel musician Diana Hamilton has shared a heartfelt prayer for the country after parts of the capital were hit with flood, leaving several dead and properties damaged.
The Gospel icon was speaking to 3 Music Tv and Pluzz89.9FM news at the national day of prayer and thanksgiving Christian service held at the state house on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
She said that Ghanaians need a change of attitude regarding human activities such as poor sanitation habits that contribute to flooding.
"I pray that as Ghanaians, we will have a change of mind and attitude, they way he handle our day to day activities," she said.
"You can see a lot of dirt and refuse on our water bodies, I ask that people have a change of attitude towards how we dispose off our waste."
The gospel icon graced the occasion with a performance of some of her hit songs.

According to him, floodwaters mix with waste from drains, septic tanks, animal farms and other sources of contamination.
