Ghanaian DJ, Samuel Ntiamoah popularly know as DJ Sam is set to embark on a journey to break the record for the longest DJ club DJ’ing. The record is currently held by British DJ Norbert Selmi also known Norberto.
According to DJ Sam, he got inspired by DJ OB when he visited Ghana. He says , the idea was introduced through a conversation between Seldon and DJ OB. This inspired him to do more research and finally decide to break the record.
"I had my inspirations years back , the first person I met who I got to hear about the whole marathon from was DJ OB. He flew to Ghana, he got booked by one of our promoters so he flew to Ghana and he was playing. I hear it from Sheldon , Sheldon was like how was your whole marathon thing. And I was like wait ,there’s something like that. So I did my own research and later on figured the whole thing out."
He added that ,the record he has chosen to break is in line with his job which is his passion, therefore this would make it less difficult for him. He says, he has the endurance due to the nature of his work. He gets booked back to back for occasions and that has prepared him in a way for the journey.
The event is to take place at one of the hottest clubs in town, Mood bar, at Osu. DJ Sam will need to keep the beats going for an impressive 255 hours straight with at least 10 people on the dance floor every minute to be able to break the record.
