Ghanaian singer Gyakie has reached a major career milestone, officially becoming the most followed Ghanaian female artiste on Spotify after surpassing one million followers on the streaming platform.
The achievement was confirmed through a congratulatory message from Spotify, which acknowledged her impressive growth, expanding global audience, and impact on the international music scene.
With this feat, Gyakie joins top Ghanaian male acts such as Black Sherif and Sarkodie, who have also attained significant prominence on the platform.
Gyakie’s rise continues to highlight her global appeal, firmly positioning her as one of the most influential female voices representing Ghanaian music worldwide. Her debut album, After Midnight, has also made history, becoming the first project by a Ghanaian female artiste to appear on the Apple Music Top Albums chart.
Spotify further praised the singer for her “exceptional growth, international reach, and role in showcasing Ghanaian music to the world,” reinforcing her status as a leading figure in contemporary African music.
This latest milestone underscores Gyakie’s growing influence and her continued contribution to putting Ghanaian music on the global map.
