Ghanaian musician Edem has shared a heartfelt message expressing deep disappointment after efforts to support Agbeko’s recovery journey were unsuccessful. In a statement posted on X, Edem revealed that his team, alongside well-wishers and family members, had devoted significant time and resources to helping Agbeko get back on track.
According to Edem, he personally spent the entire day with Agbeko from a salon visit to sharing a meal as part of attempts to ease him into a healthier, more stable routine. The team later accompanied him to the Pantang Health Facility, where plans had been made for him to enter a professional rehabilitation programme.
However, despite several hours spent at the facility and the involvement of trained professionals providing guidance, Agbeko ultimately refused to enter the rehabilitation programme.
Edem noted that the team had exhausted every possible option in trying to help him begin a new chapter. He extended gratitude to everyone who played a role in the process, including his VRMG team, whose dedication he praised.
The post was accompanied by photos capturing moments from the day’s efforts, reflecting the hands-on support offered to Agbeko.
Edem concluded his message with appreciation and a reaffirmation of solidarity: “Thanks to everyone who assisted and thanks to team VRMG.”
