The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially announced the resumption of the 2025/2026 recruitment exercise in the Greater Accra Region, following a temporary suspension. According to a press statement issued by the Department of Public Relations at Burma Camp, the exercise will continue on Thursday, 20th November 2025, across eight designated sub-centres.
The screening will take place at the following locations:
1. El-Wak Stadium – 2 centres
2. Nicholson Park, Burma Camp – 2 centres
3. Air Force Base, Burma Camp
4. Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Teshie – 2 centres
5. Eastern Naval Command, Tema
The GAF noted that all qualified applicants will be processed in batches of 600, with each applicant receiving an SMS indicating their reporting date, batch number and assigned centre. Applicants are advised to monitor the recruitment portal for updates and strictly follow the instructions provided. Those who do not receive a text message by Thursday, 20th November 2025, are encouraged to call the official helpline or use the WhatsApp line provided in the release for assistance.
Families, friends, and non-applicants have been cautioned not to accompany applicants to the screening centres to avoid congestion. Non-applicants will not be permitted entry.

The statement also referenced the recent unfortunate stampede incident. The GAF confirmed that investigations by the Board of Inquiry are ongoing. To ensure transparency, the entire Greater Accra recruitment team has been replaced.
New appointments include:
Commodore FA Nyarko – Director General, Human Resource
Colonel F. Kusi-Darko – Director, Manpower
Colonel GB Eduah – Director, Information Technology
The Armed Forces reassured the public that any individual found culpable in the incident will be appropriately sanctioned.
The GAF extended its deepest sympathies to families of those affected by the incident and wished the injured a swift recovery. All injured persons will continue to receive free medical care at the 37 Military Hospital until they fully recover. Additionally, the statement noted that a special recruitment support package will be provided to all injured applicants after recovery, as well as to the bereaved families.
The release, signed by Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin, Acting Director General of Public Relations (Ghana Navy), emphasized the GAF’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and fair recruitment process moving forward. The Armed Forces called on the public for maximum cooperation as the exercise resumes.
