Manchester City's dynamic winger, Jeremy Doku, is gearing up for a visit to Ghana, the homeland of his parents, in the near future.
Despite opting to represent Belgium over Ghana on the international stage, the 21-year-old speedster maintains a deep admiration for the West African country. Fluent in Twi, the language of Ghana, Doku expressed his desire to reconnect with his roots in an interview with Premier League TV.
"Yeah. Of course I'm Ghanaian. My parents are also Ghanaians. I also speak Twi, which is the language of Ghana. So I have to go back again because it's been a long time," shared Doku.
The talented winger also revealed his fondness for Ghanaian music, stating, "I like Ghana. I like the way they talk. I like their music."
With two goals in eighteen appearances for Belgium, Doku emphasized that a return to his parents' homeland is on the horizon. While his parents frequently make the journey back, Doku acknowledges it's high time for him to experience Ghana firsthand.
"My parents often go back. I haven't gone back yet, so I have to go," he expressed, hinting at an exciting chapter of exploration and connection with his Ghanaian heritage.
