John Mensah Dedicates Life To Evangelism After Retirement

Former Ghana international John Mensah has shared that he spends most of his time at church since retiring from professional football seven years ago. The ex-Black Stars captain, known for his crucial contributions to Ghana's football legacy, now focuses on spreading the word of God. 

Mensah was instrumental in the Black Stars' impressive run to the quarterfinals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and their second-place finish in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.

“I spend most of my time at church now, as I'm no longer playing football. It's how I stay grounded, Mensah said at the Ghana Football Awards ceremony.
My church is the Resurrection Power New Generation Church, where I dedicate myself to worship. I remain devoted to God Almighty, worshiping Him sincerely and advising my community through evangelism.” He said.
The former Sunderland defender earned 86 caps and scored three goals for the national team.
