Celebrated broadcaster, author and women’s empowerment advocate Oheneyere Gifty Anti is set to receive a significant traditional honor as she is enstooled as the Imputuhemaa of Ekumfi Nanaben in the Central Region. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, 29th November 2025, forming a key highlight of the Ekumfi Nanaben Annual Aboakyer Festival.

The enstoolment represents a profound recognition of Gifty Anti’s longstanding contribution to national development. Over the past decades, she has become one of Ghana’s most influential voices in media, gender advocacy, leadership mentorship and community advancement. Her role as a champion for women and girls has earned her widespread respect across the country and beyond.

As Imputuhemaa, Gifty Anti will assume a culturally significant position within the traditional leadership structure of Ekumfi Nanaben. The role places her as a mother figure, counselor, advocate and guardian of community values  responsibilities she has exemplified throughout her public life. This elevation not only celebrates her achievements but also signifies the trust and confidence the community has in her leadership.

The celebrations will continue with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, 30th November 2025 in Ekumfi Nanaben, marking the spiritual conclusion of the ceremony. Oheneyere Gifty Anti has extended an open invitation to friends, family, supporters and well-wishers to join her in this historic moment. She has also requested prayers as she steps into this new chapter of service.
