Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has secured yet another nomination, setting the stage for what could be an addition to his 118 Awards over the span of his music career making him the most decorated African rapper.
He recently earned his first nomination for the Best HipHop Artiste category at the 2025 Trace Awards which is set to take place from the 24th to 26th of February 2025 in Zanzibar, Tanzania. He goes head to head with the likes of Nasty C from South Africa, Didi B from the Ivory Coast, OdumoduBlvck from Nigeria, Suspect 95 from the Ivory Coast, Young Lunya from Tanzania and Maglera Doe Boy also from South Africa.
The ceremony has been dubbed one of the most prestigious musical events on the African Continent and aims to unite talents from the continent and the diaspora. So far, several of the continent's superstars have emerged top contenders in the various categories and are looking to emerge winners in their respective categories.
Sarkodie’s nomination makes him one of the most consistent Ghanaian acts to continually place Ghana on the map and this latest nomination speaks to his hardwork, authenticity and consistency.
Voting for the Awards are open and set to end on February 15.
