Kiernan Forbes popularly known in showbiz as AKA has been buried.
On Saturday, February 18th, he was laid to rest in a private ceremony at the Westpark Cemetery in South Africa. He was buried close to the late actor Joe Mafela and the late Hugh Masekela, the pioneer of South African jazz. Media Personality Somizi Mhlongo, musician Ihashi Elimhlophe and DJ Oskido were all in attendance at the funeral.
A memorial service for the deceased rapper was held at Sandton Convention Center on February 17th. Musicians that attended gave the star a fond farewell with renditions of his songs.

Nakai, the late AKA's girlfriend, also took to Instagram to express her grief
about the rapper's demise. She shared a few videos of their intimate times along
with a message that expressed her sadness and heartache about her partner's death.
She voiced her shock at the idea of living without him, unable to accept his
passing and calling the experience heart-wrenching.
AKA
was fatally shot in the head in Durban South Africa. His daughter Kairo Owethu
Forbes is his only successor.
