Burna Boy Becomes African Artiste With Most Billboard Hot 100 Entries

Nigerian music icon, Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy has become the African artiste with the most Billboard U.S Hot 100 entries, after breaking the tie he held with Tems. 

The two Nigerian stars previously tied at eight entries each, however, Burna boys' collaboration on the World Cup song Dai Dai with Shakira earned a new entry on the chart this week, giving him a lead.

Dai Dai debuting at number 75, now brings Burna Boys' entries to a total of nine - the most by an African artiste.

The World Cup official song gained fresh momentum after the duo performed it at the Opening Ceremony of the World Cup.

The Last Last hitmaker also boasts of the only African artiste to have at least one song appearing on the Billboard Hot 100 for six conservatives years.

Burna Boys' first song to make it on the Chart was By You (2021), followed by Last Last (2022), Sittin’ On Top Of The World and Talibans II (2023), Just Like Me and We Pray (2024), WGFT (2025), and Only You and Dai Dai (2026).
